Chintu Travels Day 7.
Happy Birthday Chintu!
I have barely had any connectivity since I left Manali, I haven't checked any of the messages or timeline posts, not even on Whatsapp. I am extremely sorry for that, I'll respond to everyone as soon as I have a stable connection.
This post is being written over Instagram to save me time of a separate upload to facebook and is being uploaded over a highly unstable 2G connectivity too keep things going.
Every one of my co-traveller slept early last night, and I tried hard to be awake till midnight to receive the calls and texts, but no internet and lack of sleep for the last 2 days is a great sleep inducer.
My closet people did call me but I was asleep as a log, I promise I'll get back to you as soon as I find a stable connection.
We started at 5 AM for Leh, our bags being loaded on top of the bus and our seats confirmed.
The road to leh from Keylong is beautiful and treacherous, specially in a shaky government bus which was just making enough noise to move.
It took me 16 hours of troubled breathing and altitude sickness to reach leh, A total of 26 hours of bus ride in the last 36 hours, I had no cellphone connectivity for the last 16 hours.
The first thing I looked for was a hotel with a good wifi, but apparently there is no such things as good wifi. The entire towns internet is down.
I'll be resting for the next 2-3 days and then a few days of moving in leh, and finally plan an exit. I'd probably fly out, because anything via road is about 20 hours away.
